Environmental Health
The Environmental Health Department provides public health education and administers the environmental health program through the enforcement of local ordinances and state regulations. The Environmental Health Department investigates health complaints, permits and inspects onsite residential sewage disposal systems. The main programs for this department include onsite residential sewage disposal systems, pools and spas, groundwater protection, mobile home communities, operational methamphetamine labs. Property development plans are reviewed to insure protection of Fulton County’s natural resources, the public health of the community, and to guide long term planning with attention to adequate onsite residential sewage disposal systems and a safe water supply.
The Fulton County Health Department fosters health promotion, disease prevention, and a safe environment for the citizens of Fulton County.
