RECORDING FEE CHANGES EFFECTIVE 7/1/2017

Fee changes

Effective 7/1/2017 the recording fees for Indiana will move to a predictable fee schedule. 

Moving to a flat, predictable fee for recorded documents will bring transparency to the document recording process, benefitting the general public, county officials, and other interested parties.

The current fee structure has 13 different fees for recording documents depending upon page counts, page type and size. This approach streamlines the pricing structure.

With the new fee structure mortgages would be assessed a $55 fee while most other documents would be assessed a $25 fee.
